From Seven Chakras to Nine-Center Beings!
Based on the Brahman Hinduism tradition, human beings were said to have 7 energetic centers through which energy flows within the body, commonly known as Chakras.
However according to the Human Design system, in 1780 the spiritual consciousness underwent a mutation, turning humans from 7-center to 9-center beings.
This happened when the “Heart chakra” split its consciousness into issues of identity and value, creating the “G center” and the “Ego center” (also called the Heart center).
The commonly known “Solar Plexus” also split, expanding its awareness from intuitive matters of health and survival to emotions. This resulted in the creation of “The Spleen center” and “the emotional Solar Plexus” and an Energy system of 9 centers.
Each of this 9 center have genetic and biological connections in our bodies and regulate different aspects of our living mechanics.
The nine centers in Human Design look like this:
Each center provides a fundamental structure to your unique design through the activation of the gates within them depending on your design’s purpose.
Each center also regulates a specific area of the body’s consciousness. Depending on whether they are ‘Defined,’ ‘Undefined,‘ or ‘Open,’ the behavior of that energy will change.
An “Open” or “Undefined” center represents the areas in our lives where we are much more prone to the external conditioning, either coming from the environment, planetary transits, or other people’s configuration.
It is said that the Open centers represent “God’s Portals,” as we embody them, we are meant to fully experience and explore in all their nuances. Each center offers unique lessons and insights, much like different chapters in a book, allowing us to understand various aspects of life.
For example, the Solar Plexus center may invite us to delve into emotions and personal power, while the Heart center focuses on identity and love. Just as a portal opens up new worlds, these centers provide pathways for growth and self-discovery, guiding us through the complexities of our existence.
These centers are energetic receptors, always open to experiencing other people’s energy. It’s important to understand this mechanism because, without this knowledge, we often mistake this energy as our own. In reality, it’s just an interaction with someone else’s energy field.
The “Defined” centers are areas in our lives where we have a consistent energy flow. This consistency will be experimented during our entire life and even tho it can also evolve, it will take a lot more time to experiment it in a different way as our design needs the consistency of this energy to fulfill its purpose.
These centers are considered energy emitters, which can influence other people’s Open or Undefined centers when our Aura is nearby, so it’s something to keep in mind! 😉
Understanding how the centers interact is very important because this is where you can see both your greatest gifts and potential conditioning. Engaging with each center allows us to learn and evolve, enriching our journey through life.
