Design + Personality- Conscious & Unconscious traits of your Design
At this point, you may have come across the conscious and unconscious aspects of your Human Design chart (the columns and colored channels on your Bodygraph) are likely wondering what they mean or where they come from.
Let me clear it our for you!
According to the Human Design system, the conscious aspects of our personality come from the Neutrino information that is imprinted on us at the moment of birth.
These are called ‘Personality‘ aspects, which show up as active traits of our personality in the world. You can find these aspects in the right column of your Bodygraph.
On the other hand, we have unconscious information imprinted in our body cells from the time of our formation until about 88 days before birth.
These are called ‘Design‘ traits, which represent potential information stored in our bodies. This information unconsciously urges us to unlock it and follow a path that aligns with it, benefiting our body wisdom. You can find these aspects in the left column of your Bodygraph.

In a deeper explanation, we are composed of two Crystals of Consciousness and a Magnetic Monopole, through which the Neutrino stream passes at different moments of our creation, imprinting us with its information and ultimately shaping our living consciousness.
One is called the ‘Design Crystal,’ which Ra Uru Hu (the channeler of this system) referred to as ‘the vehicle.’ At the moment of conception, male energy calls in the first crystal from the mantle of Earth’s geometry to enter the fetus, which becomes the Design Crystal.
It begins to form the cellular information stored in our DNA, along with the neural pathways. Approximately 88 days before birth, when the soul enter the human body, this Crystal gets imprinted with the specific Neutrino information of that moment.
Therefore, from conception until about 88 days before birth, the fetus consists only of the Design Crystal and a developing Magnetic Monopole.
Then, approximately 88-89 days prior to birth, the Magnetic Monopole calls in the second Crystal, the “Personality Crystal“, also known as ‘the passenger,’ and it begins to hook into the body, taking form. By the time of birth, it is ready to host the information imprinted by the Neutrino stream passing at that specific moment, thus completing the design of each human being.
These crystals function as filters, shaping the Neutrino imprint into a unique form that influences our living consciousness.
According to Ra Uru Hu, there is an analogy to the Human Experience as taking a ride in a car, where the “Design Crystal” would represent the “Vehicle” (Body) and its maintenance needs to keep it going smoothly.
The “Personality Crystal” would be the “Passenger”, who is having the ride and just observing the scenario from the back seat.
And the “Magnetic Monopole” would be the “Driver“, the magnetic force that hooks you into your geometry and takes you exactly where you are meant to be. Your inner compass!
